Who Says You Need Bird Seed?

I had some fruitcakes left over from Christmas and hubby put one out a few days ago when we got a sampling of snow and the birds ate it right up.  We got 8 inches of snow last night so we put out another cake.  The birds love it! The birds say this is better than bird seed! ha!

    It looks beautiful. I doubt there is a prettier site than a cardinal in the snow.

    I live in Ohio..and we probably got lil' more than an inch of snow today. (alot on ground already tho! lol) But our Daughter lives outside Greensboro...and got about 8" overnight last night! Her pictures of the snow look like yours too! Wowie! But Beautiful! Stay safe..and warm there too!

    I want to move in!!! What a gorgeous setting!!! Love the cardinal - we don't have them where I live and they are so cheerful against the snow! I think you have found the perfect use for fruit cakes :)
